This day marks the inauguration of the Sikh Holy Scripture, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, as the Spiritual Guru of the Sikhs. A grand celebration was held starting with Antim Salok Paath, Nishan Sahib Sewa and a procession with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji followed with Sangat singing Kirtan and marching from Ono Street through Votua Road and Princes Road to the Gurdwara Sahib via the main entrance on Ratu Mara Road. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's re-entrance into Gurdwara Sahib concluded with Ardas and Langar for the Sangat.
Earlier, on Saturday 25 October, children from Dilkusha Home and St. Christopher's Home were hosted at the Gurdwara Sahib for dinner and entertainment, followed by Rehraas and Langar for the Sangat.
